Sim Racing Pedals

Potentiometer – standard in most starter packs. Measures pedal position (how far you press down). Inconsistent because your foot hits the pedal's bottom stop differently from lap to lap.

Load cell – measures actual force (how hard you press). Much more consistent and natural. Recommended for anyone who wants to drive faster and more stably. Asetek offers excellent load cell and hydraulic brake technology.

Hydraulic – uses real hydraulics for the most realistic braking feel. The Asetek THORP system is in a class of its own – almost identical to a real race car.

2 pedals (accelerator + brake) — for automatic cars and Formula racing. Sufficient for most sim racing titles and racing genres.

3 pedals (accelerator + brake + clutch) — necessary if you want to drive with a manual gearbox. Provides the full racing car experience for touring cars, GT, and historical racing. Recommended if you use an H-pattern shifter.

Most sim racers start with 3 pedals — it offers the most flexibility and is the standard in most packages.

Yes — sim racing pedals connect to your PC via USB independently of your wheelbase. This means you are free to mix and match brands:

✓ MOZA SRP pedals with Fanatec wheelbase

Trail braking is the technique where you gradually release the brake while turning into a corner — it balances the car and increases its rotation speed. It's one of the most important techniques for fast sim racing.

With a potentiometer pedal, trail braking is almost impossible to modulate precisely, because even small variations in foot position cause large fluctuations in braking force. With a load cell, the brake responds to your actual force — making trail braking controllable and consistent.

All pedals at MySimShop fit standard sim racing cockpits from TrakRacer and SimXPro via standard mounting holes (60 mm and 80 mm bolt pattern). Most pedals come with a mounting plate for rigs.
