Products & Technology

What does a complete sim racing setup consist of?

A complete setup typically consists of a wheelbase, a steering wheel, a set of pedals, a cockpit/rig, a racing seat and monitor mounting. Additionally, you can add accessories such as shifters, handbrakes, and button boxes. In our configurator, you can assemble everything and see the total price immediately.

Which mounts should I use for an Asetek wheelbase?

Asetek Racing's wheelbases use a unique mounting hole pattern on the front mount, which differs from most other brands. Therefore, we always recommend that you purchase Asetek's own brackets along with your wheelbase to ensure a correct and solid mounting without adapters.

Are the parts compatible across brands?

The vast majority of parts use standardised mounts and are compatible across brands. The only exception is the mounting holes on Asetek's wheelbase front mount. Everything else fits together — and with an Asetek QR (quick release), you can even connect third-party steering wheels or wheelbases. If you have any doubts about a specific combination, we are happy to help.

What is the difference between direct drive and belt/gear-driven wheelbases?

A direct drive wheelbase connects the steering wheel directly to the motor, providing significantly sharper and more detailed force feedback than older belt and gear-driven bases. All modern bases we offer are direct drive and are measured in Newton-meters (Nm) — the more Nm, the stronger the feedback.

How many Nm do I need?

For beginners and casual driving, 5–8 Nm is ample. If you want a realistic experience close to a real race car, 8–15 Nm is a good choice. Experienced drivers and esports professionals often choose 15 Nm or more. Remember that a powerful base also requires a stable cockpit.

What brands do you carry?

We are an authorized dealer of Asetek Racing, SimXPro, and TrakRacer. Additionally, we carry equipment from brands like MOZA, so you can assemble precisely the setup that suits your budget and ambition level.
