The Story Behind MySimShop: Professional Simracing Equipment from Real Racers

The Story Behind MySimShop: From Professional Motorsport to Premium Sim Racing

MySimShop didn't start with a traditional business plan. The company stems from a pure passion for race cars, intense competition, and that unique moment where everything else fades away, and focus is solely on the next turn. Here's the story of how real-world motorsport experience became the foundation for Denmark's new sim racing hub.

Valdemar Eriksen: Behind the Wheel of the Fastest Race Cars

Valdemar Eriksen has lived and breathed motorsport since 2012. His career began in go-karts and single-seaters before moving on to the GT World Challenge Europe with Audi Team WRT in a powerful Audi R8 GT3. Today, Valdemar competes in the prestigious European Le Mans Series for RLR M-Sport in a Ligier JSP320 LMP3. This is one of the absolute fastest prototype categories for young motorsport talents in Europe.

The speed isn't just a claim – it's proven. Valdemar holds the track records at Jyllandsringen, Padborg Park, and Ring Djursland. Not because they were keeping score, but because the car was always pushed to its absolute limit.

Thomas: The Technical Expertise Under the Car

Thomas entered motorsport from a different, but equally important, angle. His passion for cars and racing has been there since childhood, but his professional path into the industry was under the car rather than behind the wheel.

For the past three years, Thomas has served as Valdemar's permanent mechanic. This role has involved late nights in the pit lane, early mornings with millimeter-precise tire pressure checks, and busy race weekends where lunch is often forgotten in favor of getting the car ready. His work has spanned some of the industry's most impressive machines:

  • Ligier JSP320 – A genuine LMP3 prototype.

  • Audi R8 GT3 – Tuned for the GT World Challenge Europe.

  • Ferrari 488 – Built for the intense one-make races in the Ferrari Challenge.

  • Mercedes-AMG GT3 – The workshop's newest and exciting project.

The technical understanding of equipment, setup, and precision gained in the pit simply cannot be acquired behind a screen. When MySimShop recommends a product, it's based on genuine mechanical insight.

Why Start MySimShop?

The link between these two worlds is sim racing. It's in the simulator that Valdemar trains mentally and maintains his sharpness between real race weekends. At the same time, it's where Thomas can test and get to know the tracks he works on daily – without risking material damage or going over budget.

But when they searched for high-end sim racing equipment in Denmark, the selection was disappointing. The market was characterized by equipment that was either of inconsistent quality, disproportionately expensive, or sold by dealers without the necessary understanding of motorsport.

That's why MySimShop was founded. The mission is not just to sell products, but to share hard-earned knowledge. The fact that the company is today an authorized dealer of renowned brands like Asetek Racing, TrakRacer, and SimXPro is solely because these brands deliver the quality the team itself uses and trusts.

What Does This Mean for You as a Customer?

When you shop at MySimShop, you're talking to people who have been strapped into real race cars, wrenched on complex GT3 engines, and spent more time on asphalt than in an office.

MySimShop isn't just a faceless warehouse with a random webshop. It's a dedicated team of racers passionate about helping new drivers get started – or taking an existing sim racing setup to the absolute next level.
